About Haven

Member of the Family Law, Native American Law,
and Women's Law sections of the Texas Bar

Haven Charlo has provided legal services to East Texas since 1997 in multiple capacities. After serving as one of the most in-demand paralegals in East Texas for over 25 years, Haven attended the Mitchell Hamline School of Law in pursuit of opening the Charlo Law Firm, PLLC.

Having earned a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice and graduated from law school while raising a family and working a full-time job, Haven understands the value of hard work. She delivers the same work ethic in every civil and criminal case she litigates because she wants the best for her clients.

After graduating from Saint Leo University, Haven served as a law clerk while attending law school. Because of her decades of experience in Texas Law, she had the opportunity to litigate many cases in a courtroom under a temporary license for a year before becoming formally licensed by the Texas Bar. Haven was also apprenticed and mentored by some of the top profile lawyers in East Texas because she understands that it takes more than a license to be an effective lawyer.

Haven cares deeply about serving others and loving her family. As an attorney and the wife of a former police officer, Haven and her husband both live their lives to serve others. Haven has been happily married to her husband for over 20 years. They’ve raised four wonderful children together—two are currently attending college, and two are in public school.
